Detroit’s vibrant heritage comes alive once again at the beloved Sweetest Heart of Mary Pierogi Festival, returning August 8–10, 2025. Hosted by the historic Sweetest Heart of Mary Church, this festival promises a weekend full of rich tradition, delicious food, and family-friendly fun.
Friday Night Preview – August 8 | 5–10 p.m.
Kick off the weekend with a lively Friday Night Preview in the beer tent, featuring Polish cuisine from Polish Village Café and Srodek, and live music by the Polish Muslims. The grill will also be open for more casual eats. Don’t miss the Tatry Dancers at 5:45 p.m. and live music from 6:30–9:30 p.m.
Saturday, August 9 | 12–9 p.m.
Saturday’s festivities begin at noon with music by the Steve Drzewicki Band, followed by a full schedule of performances and cultural events, including:
- Church Lecture/Tour at 2:30 p.m.
- Reverent Polka Mass at 4 p.m.
- Halka Dancers and a Fashion Show – Polish Designs in the late afternoon
- Evening music from the Kielbasa Kings beginning at 6 p.m.
Sunday, August 10 | 12–5 p.m.
with Holy Mass at 10 a.m.
The celebration continues Sunday with a 10 a.m. Holy Mass, followed by live music from New Brass Express, performances from the Wawel Dancers, and additional lectures, tours, and blessings throughout the afternoon. Raffle drawings, including the Grand Raffle, will begin at 4:30 p.m.
